The Undreamed Of

from Asteroids by Richard Haswell

/

lyrics

Does the colour of the sky or the pressure shift suggest imminent change?
And in this newly altered state, my immediate concerns are out of range
And in those final fleeting seconds before I embrace the great unknown
There's a final resignation that this rarest of birds has finally flown
This is the undreamed of and this is where I lie...
Now there's a line drawn in the sand and I've reached the point where now there's no return
So with nothing left to lose, I am happy with fresh air and lessons learned
Why should I fear uncharted waters when I'm free to stop and stare or walk on by?
I will risk what is uncertain and savour these brief moments in time
This is the undreamed of and this is where I lie...
This is the undreamed of and this is where I'll die.
